Adjective vs. Adverb Clauses
REMEMBER: An adjective clause modifies a noun or pronoun, while an adverb clause modifies a verb.
For each sentence, type each dependent clause, the word(s) the clause modifies, and the KIND of clause it is (adj for adjective and adv for adverb). Separate each piece of information with a hyphen. (See the example below.)
Ex. - Fruit that is grown organically is expensive.
Answer: that is grown organically-fruit-adj
Ex. - If you build it, they will come.
Answer: if you build it-will come-adv
