The Things They Carried : Character Review

To do the following activity, point your mouse and click on the word “Matching”. Eight characters’ names from Tim O’Brien’s novel The Things They Carried will appear in different squares all in the same color. Match these characters with an action or activity they were involved in. The corresponding activity choices are all in a different color square. There are three characters whose names may be used twice in this matching activity. You will need to play the game at least three times to be exposed to as many characters as possible.
First, use your mouse to point to a box with a character’s name, and then click on it. An icon will appear on the screen. Next, after you have clicked on the character’s name, use the mouse to point to the box that contains a significant action which the character performed. If you are successful, the same icon will appear. However, if the wrong match is selected, an icon will not appear and you need to make a new selection until you answer correctly. This activity will help you prepare for the unit test. Good luck!
