Significant Figures: Values with zeros at the beginning or the end

If the zeros are on the "end" (or the right of the value) AND there is a decimal point in the value, the zero's DO count. Example: 350. and 3.50 and 3.05 are all examples of values with THREE sig fig's.

If the zeros are the beginning (or the left) of the number, the zeros DO NOT count (whether there is a decimal or not!). Example: 0.350, 3.50 and 0.000350 are all examples of values with three sig figs.
