Kaleidoskop: Kapitel 2 - Simple Past (Strong Verbs)
A strong verb is a verb that has a stem-vowel change in the simple past (sprechen --> sprach). A few verbs have a consonant change as well (ziehen --> zog). You must memorize the simple past forms of strong verbs because the stem change cannot always be predicted.
