Lesson 30 Spelling, Grade 8: Words from Names--Eponyms*
English, as well as other languages, often takes the names of people and makes them into common, everyday words. The word diesel, for example, names a particular kind of combustion engine used in heavy trucks. Its name comes from its inventor Rudolf Diesel. Try your skill at the eponyms in this hangman activity.
