What does the pancreas do?It releases digestive enzymes.
What does the liver do?It produces bile.
What does the rectum do?It compresses waster material into solid form.
What is NECESSARY for the body to perform at its best?Water.
What are the 6 major nutrients?Water, Carbohydrates, Fat, Protein, Vitamins, and Minerals
What are the BEST types of carbohydrates?Complex Carbs.
What do complex carbs contain that help food move through the digestive system more easily?Fiber.
What kind of enrgy is fat?Stored energy.
What does fat help the body store?Vitamins.
What are the BEST type of fats?They are liquid at room temperature and come from plants NOT animals.
What do proteins do?They help us build muscles.
What does vitamin A do?It's a vitamin that helps our skin.
What does vitamin C do?It's a vitamin that helps us fight infection.
What do B vitamins do?They are vitamins that provide us with energy.
What do Vitamin D and Calcium do?They help with bone growth.
What does the mineral Iron do?It helps deliver oxygen.

What is a diesease called that is caused by the presence of a living thing inside the body?An infectious disease.
What is a disease called that is NOT caused by pathogens in the body?A non-infectious disease.
What are some examples of infectious diseases?A cold, the flu, rabies, tetanus, and malaria.
What are some examples of non-infectious diseases?Cancer, allergies, asthma, and diabetes.
