These are basic strategies to "handle" conflict stereotypes. No one is ever just one type, of course, for human beings have many more dimensions.

| Bulldozer | Don't challenge directly and offer alternatives. |
| Sherman Tank | Interrupt in a polite way and present your own point of view. |
| Sniper | Bring things out in the open, but give them a way out. |
| Exploder | Stand your ground and just stare calmly. |
| Complainer | Don't agree and ask what he or she is going to do. |
| Clam | Ask open-ended questions and stare in a friendly way until he or she talks. |
| Super Agreeable | Support them and don't let them take unrealistic commitments. |
| Professor | Be tolerant! |
