Decimals SFAW Chapter 3
Following are words and definitons dealing with decimals.

| A | B |
| base (of an exponent) | A number multiplied by itself the number of times shown by an exponent. Ex:6 |
| exponent | A raised number telling how many times another number, the base, is being multiplied by itself. |
| exponetial notation | A way of writing a repeated multiplication of a number using exponents. |
| Scientific Notation | Writing a number as the product of a number greater than or equal to 1 but less than 10 and a power of 10. |
| Standard Form | A way of writing a number using digits. Ex: 45,354 |
| Expanded Form | A way of writing an exponential number showing all of the factors individually. Ex: 9x9x9 |
