ultravioletUV light has shorter wavelengths than visible light. Humans can not see UV light, but bees can. ultraviolet rays are emmited by the sun and can cause serious damage to your skin and eyes.
gamma raysgamma rays are forms of electromagnetic radiation. electromagnetic radiation is made sub-atomic partical interaction, or radioactive decay. gamma rays have the shortest wavelength and the highest frequency and energy in the electromagnetic spectrum. they cause serious damage to living cells when absorbed because they mess up your dna. gamma rays can also be used in medicine. since they can kill living cells, they can be used in cancer treatment. gamma rays are the most energetic form of light, and are also produced by the warmest areas of the universe. they can be made by supernovas, neutron stars, pulsars, and black holes. gamma rays cant be reflected by mirrors. if you could see gamma rays, the moon would look brighter than the sun. Gamma ray burst can release more energy in ten seconds than the sun can in its entire lifetime. (ten million ) years. all of the gamma ray bursts observed so far have been outside the milky way.
