| Testimonial | Somebody approves of it, and talks about how it helped them. |
| Plain Folk | Person advertising looks like an everyday "plain" person, like yourself. |
| Card Stacking | LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!!!!! |
| Band Wagon | Everybody else does it, so you should too!! |
| Irony | Exact opposite of what is meant. |
| Sarcasm | Bitter or mocking. |
| Incongruity | You expect something normal, but something strange happens instead. |
| Hyperbole | Extreme EXAGGERATION of something for humorous reasons. |
| Parody | Makes original seem less important, changes the original. |
| Caricature | Exaggeration of something that is CRITICIZED or RIDICULED. |
| Puns | They sound alike, but have different meanings. |
| Satire | Art of criticizing a subject by ridiculing it and evoke toward it an attitude of amusement, contempt or scorn. Much satire has as it's central purpose the reform of persons and situations. |
