John Paul JonesAn American Naval officer. In 1777 he took command of a warship at the Portsmouth. He raided British ships and defeated the British ship Serapis.

Charles CornwallisA General in the British forces. He planned a surprise attack on Charlottesville. He wanted to capture Virginia law makers and Governor Jefferson.

YorktownA town on a peninsula in southeastern Virginia. Where Cornwallis made his headquarters and the last battle of the American Revolution was fought.
