| gridlines | – the dotted lines that show the lines separating the rows and columns. **They will not print out. |
| row | – a group of horizontally arranged cells distinguished by the number at the far left of the row (row header) |
| row header | – the number at the far left of a row that is used to name the row |
| spreadsheet | – a document that is made up of rows and columns used to calculate numbers. It can contain formulas used for analysis. |
| average (mean) | the number you get when you add all numbers in a set and divide the total by the amount of numbers in the set |
| maximum | – the greatest number in a set |
| median | – the middle number in a set |
| minimum | – the lowest number in a set |
| mode | – the number that appears more often than all other numbers |
| sum | – the total when all numbers in set are added together |
