| Intertidal Zone | The part of the shore between the highest high-tide line and the lowest low-tide line is called the intertidal zone. |
| Neritic Zone | Below the low-tide like is a region of shallow water. |
| Boreal Forest | Where coniferous trees live. Winters in these forests are very cold. |
| Deciduous Forests | Temperatures vary here throughout the year. There are many different habitats here and Deciduous trees are found here. |
| Deep Zone | Located in the open ocean below the surface zone. Where most of the water is completely dark. |
| Surface zone | Out in the open ocean, light penetrates through the water only to a depth of a few hundred meters. Algae floats in these waters and carries our photosynthesis. |
