PC Keyboard Keys

Use these activities to find out what you know about the keys on a computer keyboard!

Ctrl and Alt, Use in combination with other keys to perform a specific task
Backspace, Moves cursor back and erases characters one space at a time
Arrows, Move cursor left, right, up, or down without erasing text
Tab, Moves cursor to the next tab stop; used to indent cursor
Esc, Escape; Cancels command or series of commands
Spacebar, Moves the cursor ahead one space at a time, leaving a blank space
Delete, Move cursor forward and erases characters one character at a time
Enter, Enters information or moves the cursor to the next line when typing
Numeric Pad, Allows for faster typing of numbers with use of only one hand
Home Row, Keys where hands rest when typing
Caps Lock, Turns on and off typing in capital letters
Shift, Makes a capital letter or the top symbol on a key when used with other keys
