EvaluateTo find the value of a mathematical expression
HorizontalGoing left and right
Improper FractionA fraction with a numerator greater than or equal to its denominator
IntegersThe set of positive and negative whole numbers and 0
Inverse OperationsOperations that give oposite results, or undo each other
Irrational NumbersNon-terminating, non-repeating decimals that cannot be written as a fraction
Like TermsTerms in an expression that have the same variables with the same exponents
Mixed NumberA number with a whole number part and a fractional part
NumeratorThe top number in a fraction
Perfect SquareThe product of an integer times itself
PerimeterThe measure of the distance around the outside shape of a figure
PlaneA flat surface made up of a continuous and unending set of points, going on forever in all directions
PointAn exact place in space
Prime NumberA whole number with value greater than one, whose only factors are one and itself
QuotientThe result of dividing one number by another
RadiusThe distance or segment from the center to any point of a circle
RatioA comparison of two numbers, often written as a fraction
Rational NumberA number that can be written as the ratio of two non-zero integers
Real NumbersThe combined set of all rational and irrational numbers
ReciprocalThe number by which a given number can be multiplied to get one
SimplifyTo rewrite an expression by combining like terms or using the order of operations; or to rewrite a fraction by dividing both the numerator and denominator by a common factor
SumThe answer to an addition problem
TermPart of an expression separated by addition or subtraction
VerticalUp and down
VolumeThe number of unit cubes needed to fill up a 3-dimensional space
Whole NumberThe numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on
