| Defrag | A utility that organizes the information on your hard drive for better performance. |
| Backup | The process of saving the information on your hard drive to disk or other storage area . |
| Desktop | What you see on the computer before you open programs. |
| Icon | A picture or text shortcut to get to a folder, file, or program. |
| OS | Operating System - such as Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, etc. |
| ISP | Internet Service Provider - a service which allows you access to the internet. |
