HyperlinkA text or graphical connection between related web pages or other sites on teh Internet.
HypertextA portion of a text document that contains programming code to link a word, graphic, or phrase to another section in a document or to a different document.
Inline imageA graphic file in a web page that is aligned with text using special HTML tags.
Java scriptScripting language adapted from Sun Microsystems' Java programming language.
JPEGA grphics format capable of representing up to 16.7 million colors that is ideal for complex pictures of natural, real world scenes, including photographs, realist artwork, and paintings.
Linear web siteDisplays web pages in a straight line. Each page would include a link to the next page.

Non-empty tagAn HTML code that requires a closing tag, example <B> </B>.
Ordered listItems listed in numeric order preceded by a number.
RGB color codeA list of extended color names supported by web browsers.
TagHTML code which may be written in upper or lower case, are enclosed in brackets, and sometimes occur in pairs before and after the text they surround.
Unordered listEach item in the list is preceded by a bullet and displays as a hanging indent.

Web masterThe person who maintains a web site.
Web pageA multimedia file containing HTML codes which can be stored on a web server and viewed by multiple platforms on the WWW.
Web ServerA special computer that contains weg pages that web users can access and view.
Web siteA collection of web pages linked to a common home page created for the Internet.
Webbed web siteWeb pages with no set structure. The information does not have to read in any particular order. Users can link from one page to the next page in the order of their choice.
White SpaceAn area of empty space on a page used to aid the reader in reading the information.
WWWHypermedia system that lets you browse through related documents on the Internet through the use of hypertext links.
