Common Math Terms
These are common math terms used in a fourth grade level Math Class.

| Addends | The numbers that are added to find the sum. |
| Sum | The answer to an addition problem. |
| Number Sentence | The order in which addends and the sum are written. For example: 4 + 5 = 9 or 5 + 4 = 9. |
| Digits | The numerals 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. |
| Ordinal Numbers | First, Second, Third, Fourth, as in the grade level you or your brother or sister is in. |
| Difference | The answer to a subtraction problem. |
| Regrouping | The process of "borrowing from" the next highest term. |
| Line Segment | the small portion or part of a line |
