| Teacher standards | Nine goal statements that identify a desired performance; each represents the essential knowledge, skills, behaviors, and attitudes that must be demonstrated in order to be successful teacher. These form the bases of teacher preparation in the state and of licensure requirements; each is compatible with national standards for teaching. |
