If it is a Latin or Greek word, it is typed in CAPS and the definition says, "(L) xxx." If the Latin word is a verb, just the first two principle parts are given. (n) = noun (adj.) adjective, may sometimes be found after a word If a word has more than one definition, there is a (1) after the word connected to the primary definition and a (2) after the word connected to the secondary definition
