Needle, Comes in different types and sizes depending on type of fabric you are using
Needle Clamp, Holds needle firmly in place
Power and Light SwitchTurns on the machine and the light
Presser Foot, Holds the fabric against the feed dog as you stitch
Throat or Needle Plate, Located under needle and surrounds the feed dog; ussually has seam width guidelines to help keep stitching straight
Presser Foot Lifter, Raises and lowers the presser foot
Thread GuideHelp guide upper thread from spool to needle without tangling
Reverse buttonButton allows backward stitching
Spool PinsHold spool of thread
Stitch Length ControlRegulates the selection of different stitching patterns
Stitch Width ControlRegulates the width of the zigzag stitching and positions the need for straight stitching
Take Up Lever, Controls amount of thread pulled from the spool to the needle for each stitch; moves up and down as you sew
Tenson ControlRegulates the tension placed on the needle thread by tightening or loosening the tension discs that the upper thread passes through
