Granulated sugar | Scoop into a dry measuring cup and level off. |
Milk | Use a liquid measuring cup set on a flat surface. Check at eye level. |
Shortening | Pack into a dry measuring cup so no air bubbles remain. Level and remove using a rubber scraper |
