Conjugating Modal Verbs in German (sollen and müssen)

The following exercises are geared to prepare the student for a quiz on the modal verbs sollen (should, ought to) and müssen (must, have to). There is no stem change with sollen, but there is an Umlaut change with müssen when going from the singular to plural forms.

Muss er das machen?	Does he have to do that?
Sie muss Gitarre üben.	She has to practice guitar.
Sie muss eine Gitarre kaufen.	She must buy a guitar.
Modal verbs are normally used with	the infinitive form of verbs.
Infinitives are the forms of	verbs found in the dictionary.
Was sollen wir tun?	What should we do?
Modal verbs are conjugated,	but infinitives are not.
Ich muss mit dem Zug fahren.	I have to travel by train.
