Ceasar marches his legions back from Gual (France) and crosses the Rubicon River. He defeats Pompey's Legion. The legions of Rome are now loyal to ceasar and he packs the senate with his Friends. Old Senators Have him assasinated.
What was the seccond Triumvirate?Another tense battle between 3 generals (Octavian-Ceasars adopted nephew,Mark anthony-Ceasars friend, and Lepidus)- Lepidus is banished from Rome and a civil war breaks out between Octavian and Mark Anthony. Mark Anthony supported the queen of Egyt Cleopatra whom he was romanticly attached to. Octavians Forces defeat those of Anthony and Cleopatra at the battle of Actium. Anthony and Cleopatra commit suicide and Octavian becomes emperor of Rome. He is Renamed Augustus by the senate. All armies are loyal to him.
