| Memo | a form of communication used within an office, business, or organization, which deals with subjects of permanent record, such as a policy notice or a change in office procedures. | Mail Merge | a feature that allows a user to create mass mailings of letters, mailing labels, and other documents and personalize the information in each |
| Macros | tools that allow a user to program repetitive tasks into the computer’s memory so that they can be quickly accomplished with the touch of a couple of keys that the user has selected |
| Track Changes | a feature used when editing documents that allows the user and other editors to view changes that have been made to the document |

| Alignment | justification of elements. Related items should be justified the same to emphasize their relationship to each other. |
| Repetition/Consistency | consistent pattern of font and color schemes and graphic types; repeated fonts, color schemes, or graphics |
| Contrast | the use of size and color to emphasize the most important elements on a page |
| White Space | the blank or negative space on a page that is used to give the reader’s eyes a break. White space does not have to be white. |
