Peripherals | any accessory that can be connected to the computer, such as printer, joystick, disk drive, modem, scanner, zip drifve, CD-ROM, tape drive backup |
Printer | a device that makes the computer output visible on paper |
Programs | a set of instructions telling the computer what to do |
Software | another word for computer program |
Spreadsheet | a program that organizes numeric data into columns and rows; commonly used for check book balances, budgeting, and finding averages and percentages |
Word Processor | a computerized system used to store, edit, duplicate, and transmit documents (letters, reports, etc.) |
