Floppy Drive | Makes storing portable and writes to a floppy disk. |
Hard Drive | The long term memory of the computer. It reads and writes to a hard disk and is divided into gigabytes. |
Mouse | Used to control the cursor and is very important in the GUI environment. |
Keyboard | Hardware device. Used for input. |
Motherboard | The backbone of the computer. Holds the CPU and all the other circuitry. |
Memory | Chips that store information. There are two types of memory, RAM and ROM. |
RAM | Short-term memory. |
ROM | Long-term memory. |
