| Office Button | When clicked, displays a menu from which you can select important commands (e.g., New, Open, Save, etc.) |
| Quick Access Toolbar | Provides quick access to frequently used commands. |
| Title Bar | Indicates the contents of the window (e.g., Document 2 - Microsoft Word) |
| Minimize, Maximize/restore, Close | The features enable you to reduce a program to a button on the taskbar, bring the program back to its original size, enlarge the window to full screen, and close the document. |
| Ribbon | A collection of tabs (e.g., Home, Insert, Page Layout, etc.) and is located directly below the title bar, providing quick access to commands you need to complete a task. |
| Ribbon Tab | Each tab represents a group of commands placed together for specific purposes such as editing, inserting graphics, view options, or page layout. |
| Ribbon Group | Each tab contains groups of related commands you can use to edit, format or enhance items in your documents. Some groups also have a button called a Dialog box launcher at the bottom right corner that displays a dialog box or window with more commands and options for selection. |
| Microsoft Office Help | Provides assistance on using a feature. |
| Scroll Bars | Allows you to view different areas on a document by moving the item up/down or left/right. |
| Status Bar | Displays information about the document such as which page you are on in the current document, the total number of words in the document, if there are any proofing errors, which language is being used, as well as the View buttons and the Zoom slider. |
| View buttons | Allows you to change between alternative views for a document on the screen. |
| Zoom Slider | This program increases or decreases the zoom percentage of a document. |
