Spanish uses reflexive pronouns with verbs to signal inner feelings or processes such as changes to physical emotional and mental states. This occurs with many verbs and the English equivalent is often "gets" "becomes" or an -en suffix. The following verbs, when used with reflexive pronouns, are frequently used to signal processes:
