| audiogram | a paper shows what you heard |
| audiometer | a machine that makes beeps to measure what you hear |
| audiologist | person who tests your hearing |
| frequency | high and low sounds, goes across the top of the audiogram |
| speech reception | level that you are able to hear a sound |
| decibel | mesure of loudness |
| speech descrimination | percent of words you heard said by the audiologist |
| headphones | what you wear when your hearing is being tested |
| Intensity | loudness, shown on the left side of the audiogram |
| speech banana | part of the audiogram where all of the speech sounds can be heard |
| 50-65 decibels | normal conversation |
| 90 decibels | very loud and can hurt your ears |
| 10 decibels | very quiet and hard to hear |
