| e-mail | An electronic message sent from one computer to another. |
| domain name | The part of the email address that comes follows @. |
| mailbox | Contains the inbox, outbox, and trash bin. |
| contacts | A part of the e-mail client that stores important e-mail addresses for future use. |
| draft | A message that is a work in progress and not yet ready to send to the recipient. The message is saved in the draft folder until the sender completes and sends the message. |
| signature | A few lines of text, usually a name and e-mail address and sometimes a quotation added automatically at the end of an e-mail message. |
| attachments | Files such as documents, photos, music, etc. that are sent along with an e-mail message. |
| forward | This selection copies the message into a new outgoing message and asks the sender to place a new address in the proper place. For example, if you received a message from Joe Cool that you would like to send to Joe Blow, you would choose forward and then place Joe Blow's address in the proper place. |
| reply | When this tab is selected the message being replied to will be placed in a new outgoing message with the sender's e-mail address already in the proper place |
| inbox | This button or menu choice let's the user immediately check to see if there are any new messages on the mail server |
| spam | An unsolicited message, usually in the form of an advertisement |
| flame mail | An e-mail message that is mean, hot-tempered, curt, or not-so-polite. |
