AB
matteranything that takes up space

solidshas a specific amount of space and a definite shape (does not lose its shape and takes up the same amount of space all the time)
liquidshas a volume that stays the same, but it can change its shape (it takes the shape of any container it is put into)

volumethe amount of space matter takes up
physical changechanges to matter in which no new kinds of matter are formed (ex. paper being cut)
