| quadrilateral | polygon with 4 sides and 4 angles. |
| vertex | a point where two sides meet,  |
| side | each line segment on a figure |
| plane figure | flat figures on a plane, they can be open or closed. |
| regular polygon | a polygon where 1) all the sided are the same and 2) all the angles are the same. |
| irregular polygon | a polygon where 1) the sides can be different and 2) the angles can be different. |
