Hypothesis1. An assumption made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation. 2. A proposed explanation for an observation. Hypothesis is an educated guess which forms a basis for a test.

MechanismAn assembly of moving parts completing a complete functional motion.
ObservationThe act or instance of noticing or perceiving.
OutputThe results of the operation of any system.
Process1. Human activities used to create, invent, design, transform, produce, control, maintain, and use products or systems; 2. A systematic sequence of actions that combines resources to produce an output.
Reverse EngineeringThe process of taking something apart and analyzing its workings in detail, usually with the intention to understand function, prepare documentation, electronic data, or construct a new or improved device or program, without actually copying from the original.
SystemA group of interacting, interrelated, or interdependent elements or parts that function together as a whole to accomplish a goal.
