| St. Jerome | He was an intelectual. His greatest contribution to Christianity was his translation of the bible from Hebrew to Greek and Latin. This bible is know as the Vulgate Bible. |
| St. Ambrose | He was a bishop in northern Italy. He's remembered for challenging the emporor Theodosius on a moral issue. Speciafically he criticized the emporor for ruthlessly crushing an uprising. Which led the people to turn to the church for moral guidence. |

He wrote the book CITY OF GOD which was a defence of christianity when alotof people were blaming it for the distruction of Rome by the Visagots. He also said that the distruction of the city gave the city to rebuild "A city of God" |
