| Table | Text that is arranged in a grid of rows and columns that is divided by borders |
| Column | Text arranged vertically |

| Cell | Intersection of a column and a row |
| Borders | Surround each cell to help the structure of the table |
| TAB | Allow you to move the insertion point to the cell to the right |
| TAB+SHIFT | Moves the insertion point to the cell to the left |
| Commas | Text seperated by these can be converted to a table |
| AutoFit | Allows you to automatically size columns and rows to the largest entries in a table |
| Double-clicking | Automatically adjusts the columns to fit the text |
| Dragging | Allows you to manually adjust the width/height of a column |
| Table Properties | Located under the Table menu, it allows you to change the alignment of text, where the table will appear, height of rows and columns, text wrapping, & width of a table |
| Selection Bar | Located to the left of a table, you can use this to select a row |
| DELETE | Allows you to erase the contents of a cell, but not to remove a cell |

| Multiplication | * represents this mathimatical operation |
| Division | / represents this mathimatical operation |
| Addition | + represents this mathimatical operation |
| Subtraction | - represents this mathimatical operation |
| SUM | Function that totals all of the cells to the left or above the active cell |
| AVERAGE | Calulates the sum of specified cells, then divdes the sum by the number of cells includedin the calculation |
| COUNT | Displays the number of cells in a specified range of cells |
| PRODUCT | Multiplies the values in specified cells |
| F9 | Allows you to recaluclate the formulas in a table |
| Cell reference | Identifies a position in a table and it is used with calculations |
| Letters | Represents columns |
| Numbers | Represents rows |
| Sorted | Arranging a table in logical order or sequence |
| Ascending order | Arranges rows alphabetically from A to Z, it is the default setting |
| Descending order | Arranges rows alphabetically from Z to A |
| Rotating text | Button that allows you to rotate text 90 degress at a time |
| Merge cells | Combining one or more cells to create one larger cells |
| Split cells | Divide a single cell to create two or more seperate cells |
