Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome | a relatively uncommon condition that involves the exaggeration or fabrication of illnesses or symptoms by a primary caretaker. One of the most harmful forms of child abuse, it was named after Baron von Munchausen, an 18th-century German dignitary known for telling outlandish stories. |
Sexual Assualt | Is defined as any inappropriate sexual exposure or touch by an adult to a child or by an older child to a younger child. This includes, but is not limited to: fondling, oral sex, intercourse, sexual assault, rape, date rape, incest, child prostitution, exposure, and pornography. Acts must be performed by someone who is not responsible for the welfare of the child. |

Neglect | is defined as the failure of parents or caretakers to provide needed, age appropriate care including food, clothing, shelter, protection from harm, proper hygiene, and supervision appropriate to the child’s development, and medical/dental care. |

Shaken Baby Syndrome | is a form of child abuse that occurs when an abuser violently shakes an infant or small child, creating a whiplash-type motion that causes acceleration-deceleration injuries. The injury is estimated to affect between 1,200 and 1,600 children every year in the United States. It is common for there to be no external evidence of trauma. |

The following are examples swearing or insulting a child; calling him names; making nasty remarks about him; ridiculing his actions or feelings; saying anything sarcastically, impatiently, or even teasingly to him; speaking with a frown, clenched teeth crossed arms, or while avoiding eye contact or rolling eyes. |
Sexual Harassment | is the unlawful to harass an employee because of that person’s sex. Harassment can include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature. It can include offensive remarks about a person’s sex. The law doesn’t prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or isolated incidents that are not very serious. Harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted) |
Reactive Attachment Disorder | is a rare but serious condition in which infants and young children don't establish healthy bonds with parents or caregivers. A child with this condition is typically neglected, abused, or moved multiple times from one caregiver to another. Because the child's basic needs for comfort, affection and nurturing aren't met, he or she never establishes loving and caring attachments with others. This may permanently alter the child's growing brain and hurt their ability to establish future relationships. |
