Chevron | A V-shaped symbol that indicates more information or options are available. |
Custom Slide Show | Dispalys only the slide you want to dispay to an audience in the order you select. |
E-mail Client | A software program that enables yo to compose and send e-mail. |
Emphasis Effect | An animation effect that, for example, makes an object shrink or grow in size, change color, or spin on its center. |
Entrance Effect | An animation effect that occurs when the text or object is introduced into the slide during a slide show. |
Exit Effect | An animation effect that occurs when the text or object leaves the slide or disappears during a slide show. |
File Extension | Also called the file type, it identifies the format of the file or the application used to create it. |
Full Path | Includes the drive, the folder, and any subfolders in which a file is contained. |
GIF | It is a file format used for graphic images. |
Hyperlinked Custom Slide Show | A quick way to navigate to a separate slide show from within the original presentation. |
Hyperlinks | A navigation element that, when clicked, will take you to another location, suck as a Web page, an e-mail address, another document, or a place within the same document. In a PowerPoint presentation, these can be used to link to a slide in the presentation, to a slide in a different presentation, or to a custom slide show. |
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) | The language used to code Web pages. |
HyperText Tranfer Protocol (HTTP) | The protocol used on the World Wide Web to define how messages are formatted and transmitted. |
JPG (JPEG) | It is a file format used for photos. |
Kiosk | A booth that includes a computer and a monitor that may have a touch screen. |
Mricrosoft Outlook | An Office program with which you can manage e-mail and organizational activities. An example of e-mail client. |
Motion Path Effect | An animation effect that determines how and in what direction text or objects will move on a slide. |
Mouse Over | Refers to an action that will occur when the mouse pointer is placed on an Action button. No mouse click is required. |
Navigation Tools | Buttons that display on the slides during a slide show that allow you to perform actions such as move to the next slide, the previous slide, the last viewed slide, or the end of the slide show. |
On Click | An animation command that begins the animation sequence for the design, such as the background, that displays on all slide layouts in the presentation. |
Protocol | A set of rules. |
Timeline | A graphical representation that dispalys the number of seconds the animation takes sequence. |
Transitions | Motion effects that occur when a presentation moves from slide to slide in Slide Show view and affect how content is revealed. |

Transistion Speed | The timing of the transition between all slides or between the previous slide and the current slide. |

Web Browser | A softwate application used for retrieving, presenting, and searching information resources on the World Wide Web. It formats Web pages so that they dispay properly. |
