Washout | A faint, shaded image that appears behind other images. Also known as a watermark. |
Header | Text that repeats on the top of each page in a publication. |
Footer | Text that repeats on the bottom of each page in a publication. |
Page Numbers | The numbers assigned in sequence to pages of text in a publication. |
Copyfitting | To make text fit into a space within a publication. |
Table of Contents | A sequential list of the contents and associated page numbers of a publication. |
Tab | A defined location that the insertion point advances to when this button is pressed. |
Leaders | Dots, daskes, or lines in a row that make it easier to read a table of contents or other information by guiding the eye across the page. |
