| #4 ruler, | Across top & down left side of document - shows measurements used to place text or graphics on page. |
#5 document window,  | Area where you create a document (type & add objects like graphics or tables). |
#6 title bar,  | A bar (blue) along top of Word window - contains document name, program name, & window controls. |
#7 help,  | A question mark to the right side of the window, opens an index of 'how to do things' in the program. |
| #8 window control, | Three controls in the top right corner used to minimize, maximize/restore or close the program window. |
#9 task pane,  | A side bar menu used to perform tasks such as adding clip art or using the thesaurus. |
#10 scroll bar,  | A slider used to change the part of document showing. |
#11 status bar,  | Strip in bottom left corner of window that shows information such as page number, total number of pages, and word count. |
#12 zoom slider,  | Bottom right corner of window- a slider that changes the magnification level of the document window. |
