| Co-ordinates | used to precisely locate points in two or three dimensional space |
| Absolute Co-ordinates | co-ordinates that always start from the origin |
| Relative Co-ordinates | co-ordinates that always start from teh previous point ( shown with the @ symbol in front of the co-ordinates |
| Origin | Co-ordinates at ( 0,0) |
| Plot | the print out of a CAD drawing |
| Prototype | a first full-size functional model to be manufactured e.g. of a car or a machine |
| Snap | the cursor automatically goes to the grid points or to whatever size they are set at |
| Grid | dots on the screen like graph paper. Can be set to whatever size is wanted |
| Polygon | a two-dimensional geometric figure formed of threee or more straight sides |
| Radius | a straight line extending form the center of a circle to its edge or form the center of a sphere to its surface |
| Diameter | a straight line running from one side of a circle or other rounded geometric figure through the center to the other side |
| Array | to place or arrange somethign in a particular way |
| Component | a part of somethign usually of something bigger |
