| Forms | Used to collect information with a variety of input fields. |
| Form Handler | A software program running on a web server that interprets the data sent by a web page and performs action with that data. |
| Frames | Two or more separate windows that open in a web browser. |
| GIF | One of several formats used to present images over the Internet. It is limited to 256 colors and was developed by CompuServe. |
| Inline Graphic | A graphic that appears within a line of text. |
| Input Controls | Form fields that are used to collect data entered by the user; can be radio buttons, checkboxes, textareas, etc. |
| JPEG | A file format used for images. It is best used for photographs and pictures with lots of different colors. |
| PNG | Another file format for pictures. Unfortunately it is not supported by all browsers yet. |
| Tables | Used to hold text and/or graphics so that they do not shift on pages when viewed by different browsers. |
| Thumbnails | Small graphics used to keep loading time to 5-7 seconds. |
| Resolution | Describes how many pixels are displayed on your screen. |
| Wallpaper | The background of the web page, containing a design and/or color. |
