| A | B |
| Cell Wall | Found in prokaryotic cells, plant cells and fungi cells. Provides strength, support, shape and structure for the cell membrane. |
| Cell Membrane | Surrounds all cells. acts as a barrier between the inside of the cell and the cell's environment. |
| Chlorosplast | found in plant and algae cells. Takes energy from the sun to power the plant cell. |
| Vacuole | Stores water for the plant cell. Supports the cell. Smaller version is found in the animal cell. |
| Nucleus | Controls the cell. Stores DNA to provide instructions for cell activities and reproduction. |
| Nucleolus | Found in the nucleus. Stores materials that will be used later to make ribosomes in the cytoplasm. |
| Golgi Complex | Modifies, packages and sends out materials in the cell. |
| Endoplasmic Reticulum | The delivery system of the cell. Also makes lipids and breaks down chemicals. |
| Ribosomes | Smallest, most abundant organelles. Hook amino acids together to make proteins in the cell. |
| Cytoplasm | Fluid filling of the cell. Separates oganelles. Gives the cell its 3D shape. |
| Mitochondria | Breaks down food to release ATP (cellular ENERGY). Powerhouse of the cell. |
| Lysosomes | Break down particles, waste, worn out organelles. Keep the cell clean and free of invaders (i.e. pathogens) |
