| Insert Ribbon | Used to open headers and footers, includes desktop publishing features in the text group, also used to insert a new table |
| Text Group | Located on the Insert ribbon and contains desktop publishing features in MS Word 2010 |

| Placeholder | Used in templates these are the locations where information will be typed |

| Table Design Ribbon | Used to apply preset table 'styles' to a Word table |
| File Types | extensions that are used to identify different files (ex. .dotx is a word template and .rtf is used to export a presentation to Word) |
| New Command | begins a new document and is located on the file tab |
| Borders | lines drawn to visually frame documents, tables or cells in MS 2010 |
