| Paste | To insert the last information you cut or copied into a document. |
| Print Preview | A feature in most programs that shows you on the screen how your document will look when printed. |

| Page Setup | The parameters defined by the user that help determine how a printed page will appear. |
| Spell Check | A program available in most word processors that checks your spelling. |
| Thesaurus | A feature in most word processors that you can use to replace a word in a document with one that is more suitable. |
| Layout | The overall appearance of a document, image, text or other medium designed to be more appeasing to the viewer or help locate or identify the medium being looked at. |
| Formatting | To improve the appearance of a document. |
| Font Size | The size of the characters on your screen and printouts. |
| Font Style | A set of characters with a particular design and size. |
| Line Spacing | The amount of space that appears between the lines of text in a document. |
| Margins | The space between text and an edge of a page. |
| Italics | Style of font that slants the letters evenly to the right. |
| File | A collection of information stored on your computer with its own name. |
| Menu Bar | A strip across the top of a window, listing all the items available in that program. |
| Word Processing | Software you can use to produce documents, including letters, reports, manuals, and newsletters. |
| Toolbar | A horizontakl strip of buttons near the top of a window that provides shortcuts for commonly used commands. |
| Text | A collection of words and/or letters that are understandable by the reader. |
| Document | Files you create with a word processor, manuals, online help, README files, and instructions that come with a software package are all examples of this. |
| Computer-generated | This is often referred to as being created electronically. |
| Template | A document that provides the basic framework for a commonly used document in a word processing, spreadsheet, or desktop publishing program. |
