D. Say the statements using adjective clauses (which, who, where)

Adjective clauses are subordinate clauses that come after a noun to give more information about the noun.

To make one sentence from two sentences which have the same noun, change one of the nouns into "who", "where", or "which". Example:

The man helped Sally. The man works in a bakery. 該名男子幫助莎莉。該名男子在一家麵包店。

We use "who" if the noun is a person. 我們使用[who]如果這個名詞是一個人。

The man who helped Sally works in a bakery. 該名男子誰幫助莎莉在一家麵包店。

We use [which] if the noun is a thing. 我們使用[which]如果是一個事物的名詞。

The boat is big. The boat is in the sea. 小船大。小船在海上。

The boat which is big is in the sea. 這是大的船在大海。

We use [where] if the noun is a place. 我們使用[where]如果這個名詞是一個地方。

This is the lake. We caught the big fish in the lake. 這是湖。我們釣到大魚在湖面。

This is the lake where we caught the big fish. 這是湖，我們釣到大魚。
