| Drag | Pressing and holding down the left mouse button and moving the pointer to another location. |
| Right-Click | Pressing the right mouse button once and letting go. |
| Window | The place that software displays on the monitor. |
| Close button | Button in the upper right corner of a window. Displays as a red X. Used to close the window or program. |
| Restore button | Button in the upper right corner of a window. Displays as an overlapping square. Used to make a window or program smaller so you have the ability to resize the window. |
| Maximize button | Button in the upper right corner of a window. Displays as a square. Used to make a window or program fill the entire screen area. |
| Minimize button | Button in the upper right corner of a window. Displays as a - . Used to minimize a window or program to the taskbar. |
| Pointer | The arrow that represents the mouse's position on the screen |
| Scroll bars | Located at the bottom and right side of the window. You may click or drag these bars with the mouse to move around in your document. |
