| Ombudsman | someone who supports or promotes the needs and intrests of another person |
| OBRA | federal law that requires nursing centers to provide care in a mamnner and setting that maintains or improves each persons quality of life, health and safety |
| Registered Nurse | a person that has completed a 2, 3 or 4 year nursing program and has passed a licensing test |
| Residental Care Facility | a board and care home |
| Skilled Nursing Facility | provides health care and nursing care for residents who may have many or severe health problems or who need rehabilitation; may be part of a nursing center or hospital |
