| plagiarism | using another person's thoughts, creative ideas, writings, music, and so forth without permission and presenting them as one's own. It is a form of stealing and a sin against the Seventh Commandment. |

| reparation | Making amends for something one did wrong that cause harm to another person ort led to loss. |
| cardinal virtues | the four virtues on which are eternal life "hinges" |
| theological virtues | faith, hope and love |
| justice | helps us render the fairness due each person -- giving God and neighbor their "due;" making things "right" |
| prudence | helps a person discern (figure out) the good and choose the best way to accomplish it |
| temperance | moderates the attraction of pleasure and provides balance in the use of created goods |
| fortitude | spiritual strength; ensures firmness in difficulties and consistency in doing good. |
| grace | the free and undeserved gift of God's loving and active presence |
| conversion | turning away from sin and turning toward God |
| voluntary simplicity | taking on a simple life for the good of those who have little and for the future of the planet |
| Renewing the Earth | the U.S. bishop's letter urging corporations to be responsible with regards to the environment--also, urging all learned people to work together for solutions with regards to environmental problems |
