His plan was a seize an arsenal and then arm the slaves. Plan miserable failed. Captured by Lee and hanged. North thought of him as a hero. |

| Dred Scott v. Sanford (1857) | Chief Justice Taney was the fucker who took this ruling way too far. Slaves ruled as nothing more than property. So a slave couldn’t sue federal government. Then Missouri Compromise ruled unconstitutional because you can take property wherever you want to. |
| 1860 Presidential Election | between Lincoln(R), Douglas(D), Breckenridge(D), and Bull.(D). Results, impact- Lincoln won the election but the south had control of House, Senate, and Supreme Court. Southern states start to succeed during the lame duck period, led by South Carolina, the state with its head so far up its ass it couldn’t see that it was going to lose. |
